The purpose of the BC Water & Waste Association (BCWWA) Customer Policy is to outline the policies and guidelines relating to transactions with the BCWWA, and what customers can expect while attending a BCWWA course or event. By completing a transaction with the BCWWA, the customer is agreeing to the following policy.

Once a registration or purchase form has been received by the BCWWA (either online or hard copy), the registration or purchase is considered firm. Payment is due before the course, exam or event start date, or before the product or service is delivered. If a customer registers without paying and does not attend the course, exam or event, the registration will be considered firm and the customer will be invoiced for the full cost.
Note: Courses, exams and events are subject to minimum registration levels. The BCWWA reserves the right to cancel and/or reschedule any courses, exams or events.
2. Registration Refunds and Transfers
Refunds will be processed for cancellations received by the BCWWA seven (7) working days before the event course, exam or event start date, subject to a cancellation fee of $50 + tax. The minimum cheque refund amount is $10. No refunds will be provided for cancellations received within seven (7) working days of the course, exam or event start date.
Registration transfers are permitted at no charge, but must be submitted in writing to the BCWWA at least two (2) business days before the course, exam or event start date.
BCWWA memberships (student, certified operator and individual, including cross connection control) are issued on an individual basis. Membership fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Cross connection control (CCC) certifications are issued on an individual basis. Certifications are non-refundable and non-transferable.
If for any reason the sponsorship opportunity is no longer available or should other contingencies prevail, which, in the opinion of BCWWA, would prohibit or greatly limit attendance at the event, the BCWWA has the right to cancel the event and/or sponsorship and shall not be liable for any expenses incurred. In the event that the BCWWA cancels an event and/or sponsorship, sponsorship payment(s) made to the BCWWA will be refunded. The BCWWA will not reimburse other costs incurred by the sponsor (e.g. promotional merchandise orders).
The BCWWA reserves the right to terminate the sponsorship for failure to meet the terms of this policy or for any other reasonable cause. In addition, benefits are not redeemable for cash or other benefits.
Sponsorships are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Booth cancellations must be received by the BCWWA twenty‐one (21) working days before the event start date in order to be eligible for a refund. Booth cancellations received within twenty‐one (21) working days of the event start date will not be eligible for refund. For booth cancellations at least twenty‐one (21) working days before the event start date and we are able to fill the space with another company, your booth registration cost will be refunded in full, minus an administrative fee of $50 + tax. If you cancel your booth at least twenty‐one (21) working days before the event start date and we are unable to fill the space with another company, 50% of your booth registration cost will be refunded. Cancelled booths will be returned to general booking or offered to the next company on the waiting list.
Companies that have a confirmed booth, but are not satisfied with their location on the trade show floor, will be permitted to trade locations with another company. The BCWWA will be flexible in accommodating and facilitating such changes when mutually agreed upon by both parties involved in the exchange. Any trades must go through and be approved by the BCWWA. A booth cannot be sold or transferred by one company to another.
The BCWWA reserves the right to make adjustments to the floor plan and move booth assignments if necessary.
7. Dietary Restrictions
The BCWWA will try to accommodate requests for special meals received at least two (2) weeks prior to the course or event start date. Unfortunately we may not be able to accommodate all dietary restrictions. It is the responsibility of each delegate to accommodate his or her own allergies and dietary restrictions.
8. Distribution of Contact Information
By registering for a BCWWA course or event, registrants agree to provide their contact information (full name, company and email address) to select sponsors, exhibitors and/or attendees. The BCWWA must be notified in writing if a registrant does not want their contact information distributed.
9. Filming and Photography
Attendees at BCWWA courses and events may be photographed, taped or recorded. These photographs, tapings and recordings (the “Media”) may be used by the BCWWA in their promotional and training materials, or provided to others for their use. In using and distributing the Media, BCWWA is not liable for any violation of rights of privacy, publicity, defamation, or any similar right.
